email from march 18

This last week was great! I was able to visit my first area and see
some of the people that i taught there. It was amazing! I stopped by
some old people that me and Æ. Whitlock found. They were so happy to
see me! We stopped by some members too and it was just amazing! That
was the highlight of my week. Nice weather
here?? psh! I WISH! We got 6 inches of snow yesterday and we have a
HUGE storm in the making right now that is supposed to hit tomorrow

Oh we spent some time this last week visiting members so that was way
nice. OH! MOM! YOU HAVE TO MAKE THIS! Its called Æblekage!

Im going to try and explain it! haha

6 apples, peeled and sliced
1/4 cup of water
whipping cream

Peel, core and slice apples, place in a cooking pot. Add a little
cinnamon and water to the pot. Heat to medium heat and cook covered
for 20 minutes until its like apple sauce. Place in refrigerator and
allow to cool.

Then you get some mother cookies macaroons. Crush them up and then
make a small layer of macaroons over the apple paste. Then you whip of
some cream to make some whip cream =) and then put that on top of the
macaroons and then its done! Thats pretty much it in a nut shell.

But i seriously eat this stuff everyweek at members homes! The danes
always make it and its so simple! You can even just get apple sauce
and macaroons and then some whipping cream and it tastes like heaven!
